A 90º elbow, also known as a "90 bend", "90 ell" or "quarter bend", attaches readily to plastic, copper, cast iron, steel, and lead, and is attached to rubber with stainless-steel clamps. Other available materials include silicone, rubber compounds, galvanized steel, and nylon. It is primarily used to connect hoses to valves, water pumps and deck drains.

Elbows are also categorized by length. The radius of curvature of a Short Radius (SR) elbow is 1.5 times the pipe diameter, but a short-radius (SR) elbow has a radius equal to the pipe diameter. Short elbows, widely available, are typically used in pressurized systems, and in physically tight locations.

An eccentric reducer is a fitting used in piping systems between two pipes of different diameters. They are used where the diameter of the pipe on the upstream side of the fitting (i. E. Where flow is coming from) is larger than the downstream side. Unlike a concentric reducer, which resembles a cone, eccentric reducers have an edge that is parallel to the connecting pipe. This parallel edge results in the two pipes having offset center lines. The same fitting can be used in reverse as an eccentric increaser/expander.

A pipe elbow is one kind of pipe fittings which can change the liquid or gas flowing direction in a piping system. It is mainly used to connect two pipes, sometimes called a “quarter bend”. Elbows are split into three groups, which define the distance over which they change direction. Commonly, according to the distance of direction changing, the elbows are divided into the following three kinds: Short Radius Elbow???SR Elbow???, Long Radius Elbow???LR Elbow???, Customized Radius Elbow.

As we known in the pipe fitting and elbow standard, the butt welding elbows commonly are 45°,90°,180°.
